Cantelupe Gardens Park Assosciation (Title Image)

Gullivers Action Group (GAG) was informally set up in 2003 to oppose an application at that time for residential development on the Knole Road site.

In 2006 GAG was incorporated into the Cantelupe Gardens Park Association (CGPA) in recognition of the past history of the site, and was properly constituted as an independent, non-profit making body to protect the last green open space in East Bexhill-on-Sea from being irrevocably lost to residential development.

CGPA represents the social, recreational and leisure interests of all members of the immediate community together with other residents of Bexhill and its visitors-at-large.

Its principle objective is to preserve the historic space in perpetuity for all.

"Good planning ensures that we get the right development, in the right place and at the right time.

It makes a positive difference to peoples lives ... whilst protecting and enhancing the natural and historic environment, and conserving the countryside and open spaces that are vital resources for everyone."
