Planning Appeal

CRL contested the decision by RDC and lodged an appeal with the Planning Inspectorate and a Public Inquiry was heard between the 17th &19th of July 2007.

Gullivers Action Group were actively involved in the appeal process, supporting RDC in their arguments for refusal of planning permission.

High Court Challenge

A legal challenge was lodged with the High Court, citing the Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government, RDC & CRL as defendants.

In June 2008, all three defendants conceded the Planning Inspector was unlawful in his decision.

And now...

Consequently, there is no planning permission for the Knole Road site.
